Week 6

This weeks "Right Words" assignment was a little difficult for me.  I had to look through the AP book quite a bit to figure out which word was correct.  I have always known that I struggled with this but this assignment made it even more clear to me how much work I have to improve.  I need to be more aware of which word is the correct word to use. I notice myself using one word more often then the other even if it isn't right.

Some I really struggled with were, effect, affect, lie, lay and council and counsel.  There were more that I struggled with but these are a few that I remember.

I looked up some examples to help me remember these for the future.

This picture really helped me and I noticed after I found this picture I haven't had to refer back to the book to look up which word I should use. 

This saying helped me with lie vs. lay. I now know that "lie" means to recline and "lay" means to put something down. 

I have always known this one but I always second guessed myself.  Now this pictures stays in my mind so that I don't have to look through the book every time I get stuck with these two words.
