Justin Littlewood Week 6

Hello Everyone,

A little late this week in getting my blog up as my wife and I had our baby. Words that always confuse me are ones that are describing other words. As in the assignment this week I had a hard time with the difference between bad and badly. These type of words always trip me up. I feel like I would never see sentences setup like those in the assignment using the two different words together. Either way, those are what I have a hard time with.

Another set of words that really trips me up are effect and affect. No matter how many times I have read the rules these are the hardest ones for me to remember. Since I had a hard time I thought I would give a reminder to everyone else. What I know is that effect comes from something, and that affect makes something happen. While that may seem like a little difference it changes the whole meaning all together.

Speaking of having a baby, we have read numerous articles leading up to the birth and my mistake for this week comes from one of those articles. Heads up there is a swear word so just fair warning.

  1. Congrats on the baby! We have the same problem with affect and effect. I can never get it right.

  2. THE MOST TRUTHFUL THING EVER.... Do what you gotta do!!! (I have a 6 month old, so I'm learning too!) Congrats though!! But affect/effect is my biggest problem, it was definitely one of my weaknesses, and still is.
