In the past six years of being at Weber State and more recently ever since I changed majors to Communications, I have relied on different websites in order understand certain concepts such as grammar a lot more. There are so many grammar websites out there. I have encountered some that I think "My oh my, I wish the person who wrote this website would have used our AP style guide in order to write it." There are many sketchy websites out there and there are also many that you need 10 different dictionaries in order to understand what is written.
So the question is, how do you find the right website to help out in grammar. I have found websites many that I have really liked, but the most recent one I found is called grammar-monster.com . Now a warning, this website is in no way a professionally made website but it is very helpful. The different concepts are broken up into many lessons and within each lesson there is another break down to understand the concepts in more depth. Within the lessons there are even little tests you can take to check understanding of that concept.
If you are mainly wanting to check your understanding and practice editing quill.org is a great website that can really help you understand certain editing concepts. I have done a couple editing exercises and it's interesting to see what I have skipped over. The most difficult part about editing is finding the small mistakes.
