When I have an issue with grammar, my go to site is Google. I first google and then see what it pulls up. I have noticed though that most of the time the site that gives me the best understanding is the Purdue Owl site. I think that when they give an explanation, it makes sense and is easy for me to understand. I like how it gives examples and puts things into a context that helps me know what to do.
I don't see very many grammar errors during the week. I work for a law firm and most of our letters are very grammatically correct. We only use pre-approved templates, so that prevents employees from making errors. The templates are not to avoid grammar errors, but more to make sure all bases of the law are covered. The only documentation we deal with is court documents and I haven't notice any errors there. Even if there were errors, I probably wouldn't notice since if you have ever read a court document it sounds like stereo instructions. They could write a whole document incorrectly and I don't know if anyone but a lawyer or court clerk would see anything wrong. I find myself having to read the papers a few times just to understand what it is talking about. I am newer to the office and hope that after time I will know what they say.
That is smart to use pre-approved templates, my employer also (State of Utah) uses templates that have been reviewed many times, so errors are avoided. However, you don't see ANY errors on any social media?
