I have visited many sites on proper grammar, with a huge
influx of sites this year alone. One
site that I have found pretty informational is http://www.chompchomp.com/menu.htm. The website is actually grammar bytes, but
that is the direct url link. It is a
little basic as far as web design goes, however I really like their methods for
breaking down terms. The site shows
specific sentence breakdown and highlights what the transitive verb is, if that
is what you are researching. The
sentence breakdown on grammar bytes is very similar to what they do in when
words collide. I find that I understand the
terms better when I can actually see their proper use in action. I am a hands on learner so often times I have
to read how something works over and over.
This week my editing mistake was when I left some things at
my parent’s house and my dad asked, “did you loose something?” I had a good laugh and said, “I am loosing my mind,
why?” That was when he told me my
sunglasses and hat was on his kitchen table.
I didn’t feel the need to really get after him about it, correcting a 63
year old on grammar seems a bit off book.
