Introduction
Here is my original post from last week. I am Ryan Peterson. I have been
married for a little over 2 years. I was born October 10, 1990. Our family has
lived in West Haven, Utah my entire upbringing. My family consists of 7
children. 5 boys and 2 girls make up the 7 children. I am the middle child,
with 2 older brothers and 1 older sister. I also have 2 younger brothers and 1
younger sister. Our family enjoyed camping and horseback riding up in the
Uintah Mountains. We would ride our wonderful horses to many different lakes,
enjoying the peace, beauty and fishing. I love sports. We won the championship
two years in a row in Jr. High basketball. Other sports that I participated in are
baseball, track, and football. My position in baseball was catcher and in
football it was halfback. I graduated from Fremont High School in 2009. Shortly
after that I served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints in the beautiful islands of Hawaii. There I learned how to
speak Tongan and, of course, Hawaiian Pidgon. I found some of my favorite food
while I was there. These include horse, kalua pork, chocolate covered macadamia
nuts, and Melona bars. Following my
mission, I began college at Weber State University. My initial field of study
was Social Work. I later switched to Accounting. This December I plan to
graduate in Accounting, with a minor in Communications. During my college
years, I dated a girl by the name of Jessica Hunter. She and I were married in
May of 2014. It has now been over 2 years since we have been married and I love
my wife more now than ever before. Jessica teaches second grade at Lakeview
Elementary in Roy. She is a fantastic teacher.
We do not currently have any children, however, were are proud to
announce that our first will be joining us in January of next year. My wife and
I currently live in South Ogden. We enjoy visiting National Parks, camping,
hiking and bike riding. Living in our humble home with us is Toothless, our
black cat. He looks just like Toothless on “How to Train Your Dragon”. In order
to get to know me better, I must share more about my love for the piano. My
mother was a piano teacher, and as a result, all of us Petersons learned how to
play piano. Getting me to practice the
piano was like pulling teeth. When I was 12 years old, I slowly stopped playing
the piano. This lack of motivation only lasted for a short time. My two older
brothers played the piano very well, which added a sense of competition. Once
they both left on missions, I decided to become as good as they were. Most of
the music that I enjoyed playing was Jim Brickman and Jon Schmidt. I still
enjoy playing these types of music. Piano playing has been and continues to be
a great motivation and inspiration to my life. I also love to arrange and
compose music on the piano. The picture below shows another one of my hobbies. I love to go boating.
