Week 12 - Carly Rowe

This week, much like last was an eye opener when it came to reading headlines and writing headlines. Reading headlines has become a game, in a way after completing these assignments. Writing headlines is not a game (it’s homework!) but, the few things I’ve learned that have stuck with me are the little things. Such as using a comma or a semi-colon for “and” instead of using that in a headline. It helps shorten the headline and it helps the reader get through the headline quick. Also, a helpful hint was that the headline should reflect the message. One more helpful hint, using a colon instead of using “said” or “says” was helpful to learn.
