Week 10

I feel as though I am now kind of getting the hang of this class.  I took a media writing class and this class is pretty similar to that class.  Both of these classes have been difficult for me but this one has been a little bit trickier.  It is hard for me to completely understand these concepts because I am not going into this.  I won't be editing or writing in AP style for my career and so I feel like I get confused with writing in the format compared to others.  However, I do feel like I have learned some editing tips that will help me in my future and career.  My writing has become better and I feel more confident in it.

Some of the things I learned this week were to make my papers flow better and to make sure my point was coming across clear to the readers.  I struggle with not jumping from one topic to the next.  I also learned how to write numbers correctly.  I have always thought I new how to do that but I was still making some bad habits that needed to be changed.  I studied the AP Style book and so I now understand this rule better.  It is crazy to read back on my blog posts and see how much I have learned.  When this class first started I felt like my brain was going to explode from all the busy assignments.  I felt overwhelmed. Now, I am feeling much better and feel like these assignments have nothing on me.  I know editing isn't my strength and I am not going to get my best grade in this class but I sure have learned a lot and can now apply that into my writing for the future.
