Week 5

This week was a little more difficult for me.  I don’t know if it was just because the assignments were a little more advanced or if it was just because my week was hectic.  For some reason who and whom always get to me.  I don’t feel like I use whom very much and so it sounds forced when I use it.  I know it some scenario it is the correct word to use and I just need to get used to it and remember when it is correct to use it.

The site that I like to use is www.quickand dirtytips.com/grammar.girl. This website has been extremely useful for me in the past and even today. I have used it many times and always go back to it when I need help.  I know it is a popular website.  Many of my friends use it and I know a lot of college students who use it as well.  It is an awesome source.  I found this website from her podcast and I am so glad I found it when I did.

My friend texted me and said “Who should I vote for?” I laughed out loud because when she texted me this, I was doing the Who/Whom assignment. I corrected her and said “You mean, whom should you vote for?” She didn’t get it so I had to call and explain. I felt a little more confident after this incident because it stood out to me that this was incorrect.
